“Latitude” is a single from Classik (formerly Big C) latest mixtape "The Prodigy”. The Prodigy is a tribute to late Japanese producer Nujabes, who tragically passed away in 2010. In efforts to pay respect to Nujabes, Big C travelled from Toronto, Canada to Tokyo, Japan to shoot the video for “Latitude” in Nujabes’ home city. “Latitude” was filmed by David Allen, an acclaimed videographer currently located in Tokyo, Japan. The video was edited here in Toronto, Canada, by the talented Craig Scorgie.

Inspired by the complex, story-telling sounds of Nujabes’ beats, Classik wrote each song on The Prodigy with depth and passion. “Latitude” is a song that focuses on insecurities, and how hip-hop is an outlet for those who are otherwise unsure or wary of themselves and their surroundings. Hip-hop forces communication, reveals personal trains of thought, and verbalizes what is normally left unsaid. “Latitude” asks the listener to consider their insecurities and place them aside to reach the latitude they desire. Success and new heights rely solely on mindset and drive.

Lyrics:
Now I can feel it in the pit of my stomach,
That I was never from it, never about it.

Now I can feel it in the pit of my stomach,
That I was never from it, never about it,
Crowded with insecurity, poetic nurturing,
don’t matter 'cause they got the latter on you,
Fake flex, money, and power on you,
all you got is your words,
parking to close to the curb,
while everybody is flying 200 miles
and I’m tryna get this bitch started,
retarded with the flow, but never started properly,
pushing my boundaries sloppily cuz my batteries are low,
teach me how to grow,
teach me how to walk when running down on the slope,
teach me how to remain calm when the fire gets cold,
best known memories, three kid family,
unacquainted to the paintings that would change everything,
set it free, yes I'm on my last breath, let me breathe, let me breathe,
kill a liar, we never riding through Babylon or Zion
we defining this generation of politics,
Hip-Hop we abolishing deceivers like a virus and fever,
never passive, old soul with a passion,
focusing with the masses, Big C and Nujabes, (uh, yea)
I'm not a following sheep, I'm a problem that can't sleep.

Can't skip on me cuz I’m stepping my way up,
stay up, late nights, perfecting my craft,
make rights, do wrongs,
Japan to Canada, damage your eardrums
Japan to Canada, damage your eardrums

Now I can feel it in the pit of my stomach,
that I was never from it, never about it (x7)

Never doubt what you're really shouting about,
I battle myself so I can move up, my luck’s little,
my bones brittle but my mind is a diamond,
never ever silent, taking pride in whatever I do,
I choose music, fools be jealous, oh jealousy is so stupid.
Kill a dream 'cause you can never achieve the vision I feed,
peace to the haters, my road is no safer than taking the easy route,
nomadic with my living, no keys to mount,
kick it with the bass, keep up the pace, face it,
Writing 'til my days spent, trying reinvent my flow
With every song I close a chapter in my book,
my book of rhymes, crooked lines,
they got me walking through needles but I'm feeling fine,
'cause my body is numb,
when exercising my lungs to the beat of the drum,
son of a beautiful sunset,
the image is unpressed,
can I confess my love for sound,
we’re bound to create something that can affect you,
Hip-Hop, we don't stop, we artists, we bless you,
I'm talking bout the real people making you step new,
respect to all the listeners having my back as I let loose,
Tell me baby, what's my Latitude?
