Big Al Dupree born 1923 Dallas Texas , Al started playin piano at age 5 ,later, playin professionally at 13 with John R. Davis and His Dallas Dandies. After leaving the Army 1944 joined Buster Smith 's heat Waves Of Swing as a Tenor player playing and backing such names as T-Bone walker , Peewee Crayton and Al Hibbler. In the mid 50's went to work at the Post office but never quit playing. Big Al was 71 and still working at Post Office and singing the Swing over at balcony Club , Al was an Expert at piano lounge music, Jazz , After hearing a few Shows around town we knew exacly the sound Big Al was tryin to get on his Cd So we called Jerry hall an expert Engineer from California who engineered Lynwood Slim , James harman just to name a few . Jerry brought many cool looking 40's style mike's for the recording after hearing the cd you can really feel that 40,s grooveTeddy Morgan plays with Kevin Costners band based in Nashville We have alot of these cds for sale very good to have , Strong stuff garenteeed
