from mush records: the S.E.V.A. is the production team of Mumbles (Matthew Fowler) and Gone Beyond (Dahvin Bugas). They inject world elements and spiritual movements to hip-hop, producing a wide range of drum-based jazz compositions. Mumbles is best known for the landmark album, A Book of Human Language with Project Blowed MC Aceyalone. After the success of that project, he took several years to travel abroad, studying religion, philosophy, meditation, and devotional music. He returned and found a production partner with similar ideals in Santa Fe's Gone Beyond. The two were honored with a spot at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in 2007. Utilizing obscure rhythms, textures and melodic loops to create music that is both thoughtful and conceptually cohesive, they have decided to release their take on instrumental hip-hop to the public.
