Dancing With a Man - Rodney Carrington acoustic cover by Ben Kelly - Video
PUBLISHED:  Mar 14, 2014
DESCRIPTION:
Hello everyone.
At the best of times, making videos with a thumping hangover isn't the easiest thing to do in the world - least of all when you have to hold a vocal melody...
Well once again, Rodney Carrington tells a comedic musical tale of a situation that's slightly too close to home for me not to attempt a cover of it. The patriotic onesie also makes a welcome return here :P
Hope it makes you smile. Have a good weekend!
Ben

LYRICS
I saw her sittin in a bar room,
in that smoky atmosphere.
She smiled back at me, as I drank down one last beer.
She pulled me on the dance floor,
we danced a song or two.
It was then I realized that I'd bit off more than I could chew.

I think I'm dancin' with a man!
She's got calluses on her hands,
she's got a voice like Johnny Cash,
is she hiding a mustache?
I think I'm dancin' with a man.

We sat down and talked a while,
and we listened to the band,
and a friend of mine walked
by and he asked her if she'd dance,
then he gently too her hand,
and he twirled her round and round.
It looked like he was havin' fun,
until her skirt fell to the ground.

I think he's dancin' with a man!
The boys at the lodge won't understand.
As they 2 stepped cross the floor,
I quickly headed for the door,
I think he's dancin' with a man.

Good Lord, We're dancin' with man!
It'll be known throughout the land.
2 boys from Lincoln dance a jig
with a dude who wore a wig
we've been dancin' with a man.

She crushed a beer can on her head,
Good Lord her forehead's red,
we've been dancin' with a damn big man
