At a time when female rappers are being forced into playing submissive roles on male-dominated tracks comes Beibi G, aka La Pantera. She writes and records her own songs that have a distinctly strong female point of view.

At 13 Beibi G was recording covers of pop songs in her fathers recording studio, and by the time she turned 15 she was writing her own rap lyrics. In high school she fell in love with the hip-hop culture and spent every moment outside of school writing and rapping with other aspiring artists.

Beibi G discovered Reggaeton when she was 16, joining her first Reggaeton group with 2 male friends. They quickly became popular in Miami, but Beibi grew tired of playing the submissive female part, and left the group when she got shut out of the writing process. She decided she would do her thing, her way.

Networking among the Hip-Hop / Reggaeton community in South Florida, she found herself with the opportunity to be the featured on a song by the well-known artist India. She wrote the rap and delivered an awesome performance on "Ese Hombre", which is to be released in late 2005. Word spread quickly among the Miami rap community that a special talent was on the horizon. La Mina Latina Recordings heard Beibi G's music and immediately signed her to an exclusive recording contract.

Beibi G's first album will drop this summer and her video for Quita y Pon Pon is now airing in Puerto Rico where her single is rising in the ranks on radio. A US single, Never Gonna Get It is now gaining airplay all over the country. Be on the lookout for La Pantera, Beibi G.
