EQUIPTO X OTAYO DUBB || YUK THE WORLD || PRODUCED BY BEAN ONE || DIRECTED BY BAMBU - Video
PUBLISHED:  Feb 03, 2016
DESCRIPTION:
Bay Area Emcee veterans, Equipto (SF) and Otayo Dubb (Oakland) have been making music independently for many years. While navigating through the ups and downs of the Underground Hip Hop scene, they managed to connect as friends, colleagues and finally in 2015 as collaborators. Before Beatrock Music's inaugural Left Coast Tour (2015), E and Tayo dropped the 14-track slapper, "Baby Steps." The success of the album kept the two on the road for the latter half of 2015 and is continuing to grow their fanbase as a duo with numerous shows throughout the Bay. The group has also taken a strong stance against the gentrification of San Francisco and Oakland, and the ills it brings with it: Aggressive and murderous "policing," increased incarceration rates, unjust evictions and the rapidly increasing cost of living. The crew have been very active in the mobilizations, boycotts and shut downs as of recent and don't plan on slowing down.

During a free youth breakfast event put together by the duo, labelmate Bambu came through to shoot footage and eventually compile it into the Bean One produced track, "Yuk The World." At the nucleus of the quickly changing cosmetic landscape of San Francisco, the Black & Brown Social Club is a standing testament to the "fight-to-the-end" disposition of The City's locals. The Social Club, which also houses a local daycare for low income families, provided the space for the free breakfast - so if you're ever in the 415, make sure to pay them a visit and show your appreciation! Enjoy the video!
