"Baracuda Batucada is the name of the group and make you groove, they will. With a strong member base of more than 150 members since 2004, the percussion ensemble has been rocking crowds out and entertained many people for many events. Starting out on campus, Baracuda Batucada has performed in many different places since then. From Orchard Road, Zouk to Brisbane Australia, the group has grown much over the years, rocking out their addictive samba percussion tunes. Their hard rocking beats have certainly made their name sound far and wide.

Different personalities and backgrounds, passionate musicians wanting to make a difference, a calling to make music and a desire to rock is what that has brought this group of people together today.

Whenever the hard thumping rhythms are heard around the city, music enthusiasts know its Baracuda Batucada rocking their beats. With their authentic slogan of "Heavier than Samba, Lighter than Rock", the group will definitely surprise and entice you with their rhythms!"
