(Joseph Vargas) was a big fan of music But it wasnt until high school in 1999, he found an outlet to render his thoughts, emotions and most importantly creativity. G.I. also known as "Get It Boy" (g.i. voice), has some explicit, cut throat, mind twisting lyrics of life experiences and Emotions.
Born in the Westcoast in California off the southern side. San Bernardino, Inland Empire, 909 Area to be exact. My childhood was crazy and my family wasn't the best from Prison, Drugs and violence. no money. welfare type shit and young adult time was a thrill ride of its own.
Despite everything bad in my life, or what was wrong, I managed to keep a good mind set of what I wanted in life. I wanted to be a Proud, Respectable Man. A man well taking care of and one who can give back and help because I will never forget where I came from. I started writing every day, every moment, every second and Finally got myself a karaoke machine and started making tapes. I was hungry lyrically And got a lot of good feedback. I got a computer and started recording on Acid Pro. I was making cds now feeling myself passing em out getting myself out there Then I got a Myspace and did some networking. I got fans I could see and promote to and it led me throw my first show in riverside, california at club called Incahoots. It was awesome. Then I pursued promoting and I ran into who is now a good friend of mine, owner of 187 inc, Big Moe. I started working exclusively for the brand 187 inc. The Promotion team set up performances to perform my music in venues like: The Key Club, The Knitting Factory, and the House of Blues of Hollywood, just to name a few throughout southern California. Along the way I met a lot of great people. Yayo, my visual promotion coordinator is one and is an important asset to my music campaign. In order to become financially successful with music, I am trying to promote and build a strong fan base and trying to create more music, merchandise, clothing, and great shows to be remembered for a lifetime. So Thank You All who stick around and listen and know a dream can be made possible It just takes a consistent group effort. Turn my music up and keep banging. Gee
