RIP LUTHER RABB The following is a comment from Luther's neice Kim.

"He stayed in the music industry, he joined Santana and War and produced other artist and shows. He was so funny, I just have all these childhood memories of him, him and Jimi use to hang at my parents house, there are pics of Luther and Jimi teasing me with candy. His father was a well-known and respected Rev of COGIG Pentecostal grandfather, regardless of his own beliefs and practice, told uncle luther ( Boots) to go and be the best he could be, that was cool for a Rev to say."

I (Mark) saw these guys in 1974 at the Paramount Theatre in Seattle. It cost us a can of food and a dollar to get in. They played "hold on" for about 45 minutes!! Great Band , Great show at a great price!

As a musician I am always on the look out for something new (to me) and interesting musically. One of the ways I do that is by asking other people, especially musicians, what it is that they really like to listen to that is not mainstream or top 40 and I get all sorts of great suggestions. This particular band was suggested by my cousin Steve Schlecht. We used to jam together as kids and we spent many hours listening to records.

I like to find the most obscure / rare music. This is one of those records.

After moving away from the Seattle area and as the years past...

I found myself spending hours in a dusty/musty dark room (upstairs of the record store in Duluth,Minnesota, before & during the time I worked there) going through thousands of records trying to guess which one is worth the effort... you have to, there was literally thousands waiting to be discarded. I just can't process the thought of what didn't get saved!
