DESCRIPTION:
This is an English song dedicated in memory of Great Hero of Afghanistan and the best legendary commander of 20th century Ahmad Shah Massoud. Great Massoud was Afghanistan's leading resistance leader against many different invaders. The great Ahmad Shah Massoud has become an abstract symbol of the defeat of the Soviet Union, the defeat of the Taliban, ISI Pakistan, and of the Afghan "resistance" generally.

Massoud was hospitable, well read, and had a good sense of humor. He was a quintessential Afghan in his unwillingness to be mastered. Known as the "Lion of Panjshir," Massoud spent more than a quarter century fighting one war after another -- against the Red Army, rival warlords, and finally the Taliban.

He left a wife, young son, and four daughters.
