The 201st release on Balkan Connection is out this week and it features one of Progressive House's biggest names: Lank. Hungarian producer Peter Golyan aka Lank has become one of the most loved producers in the new school of progressive house. His releases on Proton, Mesmeric, Perspectives and microCastle have been championed by the world's biggest DJs and he makes his debut on Balkan Connection here with a new set of remixes for his track 'Weirdo'. The Original version first appeared on Proton Music as parts of Lank's 'Songs From The News Feed' EP which was released in July of 2012. It went down as one of Lank's biggest melodic records of the year and here it receives the remix treatment from: Jelly For The Babies and Ewan Rill.

Serbian producer Marijan Raskovic aka Jelly For The Babies is making his 15th overall appearance on Balkan Connection here and he provides the first remix. Marijan first came to our attention when he appeared on friskyRecords with his remix of Nemanja Kostic's 'Cataclysm' in June of 2010. Since that time Jelly For The Babies has gone on to appear on just about 150 releases which includes labels like: Electronic Tree and 220V Recordings. Jelly For The Babies 'Weirdo' interpretation comes with a slightly deeper and darker vibe than Lank's original so it proves to be a great complement The smooth flowing atmospherics that sound so wonderful from Lank's original are still incorporated but in a much subtler way and over a much meaner foundation. The second and final remix on the package is provided by one of hottest up and coming Russian producers of teh moment. Ivan Romanovskiy aka Ewan Rill has grown immensely since he first appeared on Balkan Connection in July of 2011. Since that time Ewan has amassed a discography that has over 80 releases that includes appearances on: Festival Lounge, Baroque, Stellar Fountain and OLD SQL. His remix here marks his 27th overall appearance on Balkan Connection and the Russian producer has made it a memorable one. Ewan has taken all the great melodic elements from Lank's original and provided a mix that's rich in textures and atmosphere. The pulsating bass lines are undeniably hypnotic and soaring melodies at the tracks peak are absolutely gorgeous. Top notch remix pack from Balkan Connection!
