DESCRIPTION:
"My Baby's Gone" was the 3rd single & 3rd National Top 5 hit for Axiom, arguably Australia's first 'supergroup' Axiom. Howevber it's often the forgotten hit as "Arkansas Grass" and in particular "A Little Ray Of Sunshine" are more widely anthologised on various Aussie compilations. And yet I would argue that this was their best..love the call and response chorus from Glenn Shorrock & Brian Cadd who wrote the song with bassist Don Mudie, as he Cadd did with all of Axiom's work. In fact I'd argue it's possibly his best song full stop. It would also be Axiom's last hit as they disbanded soon after, and with no band to promote the follow up "Father Confessor", it went largely unnoticed..but again, not for lack of quality.
