The 17th release on Argentina's Baires Records is out this week and it sees John Axiom making his debut on the label. Jonathan Miguez Vazquez aka John Axiom hails from Spain and has appeared on some great imprints including: Natura Sonoris, Aegyptia and Stereo Paradise. His debut for Baires is entitled 'My Little Friend' and it comes with remixes from: Luis Bondio, Alessandro Diga and Audiotox & Overtone Watson.

John's original mix leads the package off with a tough kick and an infectious synth hook. Sweeping atmospheric elements lead to the introduction of a wobbly, acidic bass line which has a huge impact. A short drop and quick build reveals some additional drums and some killer modulation on synth hook. Some nice chord changes follow as a glistening set of melodic keys gets introduced. The breakdown expands on the keys and presents some rising tension in the form of a squelchy build up which results in a huge crescendo and epic climax. Great stuff from John!

The first remix is supplied by one of the three men behind Baires Luis Bondio. Luis has just come off a spectacular string of releases on Sound Avenue, Movement, Lowbit, Stereo Paradise and Regular. His remix here marks his 4th appearance on Baires and he's a delivered a great interpretation of 'My Little Friend'. Luis has provided a smoother and somewhat deeper sounding remix as opposed to John's huge original. The rumbling bass lines and ominous atmospheres play of the melancholic melodies perfectly for what results in another amazing production from Luis.

The next remix comes from Alessandro Diga who is returning to Baires for his second appearance following a remix of Santiago Garcia's 'Needing Rest' from January of 2012. Alessandro has since appeared on Darin Epsilon's Perspectives Digital and Paul Hazendonk's Manual Music which are two highly respected imprints. Alessandro has delivered a light and airy interpretation that really hits the spot. A clean and techno inspired framework sets the foundation while rhythmic stabs drive the momentum forward. Some lovely tone bending chords fade into prominence during the main drop and push the emotional senses even higher as the track climaxes with a strong finish.

Closing the package out are the duo of Audiotox & Overtone Watson who are making their Baires Records debut here after great remixes for 99percentrecordings, Mistique and Aegyptia over the last 2 months. For their 'My Little Friend' interpretation Audiotox & Watson have delivered an incredibly groovy production that uses the squelchy synth elements from the original nicely and adds a hazy atmospheric sheen that's complements the track really well. Another top notch package from Baires Records!
