Amateur Recordings: "Confession" (no vocals) - Video
PUBLISHED:  Jan 21, 2014
DESCRIPTION:
Just in case anyone was horrified by my singing voice, here's the song without my vocals.

I began writing this song on January 2, 2014, and didn't finish it until yesterday evening. This is because of both IRL stresses and the fact that the TCC Winter Quarter was just beginning then. Now that I had a 3-day weekend, I could finish up this song, and so here it is. I recorded the lyrics today.

The lyrics go as follows, for anyone who might not want to read the on-screen lyrics.

This is my confession.
I'm not the man you think I am,
For I'm a product of repression.
I'm closed up like a canned yam.
This is my confession.
I'm not a lion, bold and brave,
For I need love to fight depression
That's buried in a cave.

I have things I need to say.
My lips are gone, my voice remains.
I need some closure in my life.
I have kept things far away.
They're left behind, like ketchup stains.
It's time for some closure in this strife.

This is my confession.
I'm not a heterosexual.
That is going through recession;
I'm really bisexual.
This is my confession.
I'm out of things to confess,
For that is all my great depression
That's caused me all this stress.

I have things I need to say.
My lips are gone, my voice remains.
I need some closure in my life.
I have kept things far away.
They're left behind, like ketchup stains.
It's time for some closure in this strife.
