DESCRIPTION:
This is a demonstration unit built on the Adept Lynx autonomous mobile robot platform. The unit was a big hit at the (huge) Hannover Messe 2013 automation and technology trade show in Hannover, Germany. Shown here is the robot's ability to interface with machines to pick up and deliver material in production and distribution environments. Between these p. and d. stations the robot is free to plot its own course which it will autonomously navigate, all the while avoiding obstacles and people.
