Edited by Paraguayan film-maker Agusto Netto. Featuring never-before-seen footage of Barrios disciples Dr. Roberto Bracamonte, Victor Urrutia, and Julio Cortes Andrino, as well as legendary guitarrists and Barrios scholars that have journied for decades along the mythical "Mangore trail" in search of the timeless and fascinating story about one of the world's great guitar virtuosos. Includes Interviews with Richard "Rico" Stover, author of Six Silver Moonbeams; in El Salvador, Dr. Carlos Payes; in Paraguay, guitar virtuosos Sila Godoy and Felipe Sosa (who recorded the first tribute to Barrios LP in 1965); and in Brazil, the legendary record collector Ronoel Simoes. The documentary also brings to the forefront the issue of why the great Spanish guitarist Andres Segovia refused to "perform or promote" the work of his contemporary Agustin Barrios.
