DESCRIPTION:
There's a new word for brutal technical death metal coming out of the UK, and it goes by the name COGNIZANCE. What started out as a 2 man studio project has now morphed into a full time death machine. COGNIZANCE has just announced drumming mastermind Alex Rüdinger (THE FACELESS, CONQUERING DYSTOPIA) as the session drummer behind the kit on their upcoming EP entitled "_INCEPTUM". A behind the scenes video with Rüdinger discussing his recording on the new COGNIZANCE songs is available HERE. The video filmed by Tommy Jones, goes over Rüdinger's drum setup, a clip of a new song, and a glimpse of the making of video clip that will be released in tandem with the EP. Rüdinger is currently on tour with CONQUERING DYSTOPIA. He will also be touring with THE FACELESS for "The Summer Slaughter Tour 2014" this upcoming summer.

COGNIZANCE just finished tracking their new EP, "_INCEPTUM" which was produced by Audiohammer's Eyal Levi (DAATH, MONUMENTS, REFLECTIONS, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, ARSIS). The recording process took place in the US and UK with the whole endeavor being filmed by Tommy Jones (TESTAMENT, SUFFOCATION, DEATH ANGEL) of Videohammer Studios.
