We need to use a MIDI interface to connect our TD-9 to the PC. This is not necessary if you have a V-drum model from the latest generation. Those ones can be connected directly via usb cable. Plug in the Midi cable . Use the MIDI out of the drum modul and the Midi in of the Interface. Make sure the interface is recognized by the computer.

Now open EZ-drummer 2 in standalone mode. Go to: Settings and then Audio MIDI setup. In the Audio device menu you can setup your preferred output device. We use the pc.
We also enable the Interface in the MIDI device menu.

Click the menu button, select Edrum, Manufacture and choose Roland. The pedal correction offers different HI hat settings. Try them out and choose the one you’re most satisfied with.

The pads are already assigned in the right way. Except of the low floor tom. It triggers a crash cymbal.
We can change this setting in the TD-9 modul. Press Function and MIDI to see the Midi note numbers for each pad.
Just hit the pad you want to change and scroll through the numbers until you find out the correct midi note number for the wanted instrument.

The kit is ready to play.

Rim shot, ride bell triggering and choke function are possible.
