vernon garrett - i'm at the crossroad Pt. 1 & 2 --original version - Video

DESCRIPTION:
I consider this to be a treat to add for all the northern soul fans who loved this record way back in 1977. Granted, I remember it being on the jukebox at my Grandparents' club, but I remember it mainly because my Grandfather (R.I.P. Daddy Lap) loved this song and would do the weirdest dance with one leg. The song was a favorite on the jukebox and stayed on for almost 10 years before the record was removed.

Now, some music collectors know that the full version was issued on an ICA promo 12-inch. VERY RARE these days. The sound quality is better than the 45 pressing. The A-side sounds really bad, like the record had been played 10000 times and shipped to a store as new. But side B sounds pretty good.

I was able to enhance the fidelity a bit for both, but unfortunately side A was not a good source to work with. Nevertheless, I have remastered both and mixed them together to 'create' a full version without fade. I used a MINT copy as my source. I have several mint copies and they all sound the same...muffled on side A/great on side B.

Don't know for sure but I don't think this original version ever appeared on an album. Great song in anybody's collection.

ENJOY.. and don't forget to like & share:)
