Anamorphic Orchestra Debuts Oct 2nd, 2013 - Video
PUBLISHED:  Sep 09, 2013
DESCRIPTION:
Orlando ambient sound architects Attached Hands began a collaboration in January with budding Portland, Oregon arranger Alan Singley, sculpting a sprawling, sexy, and often sinister symphony. It's musical cinema, epic and strange. Once heard, it becomes obvious why they've dubbed it: Anamorphic Orchestra.

Clarinets, flutes, vintage synths, oboe, cello, drums and more unite. The pieces are challenging in all the right ways, a sensual delicacy for the avant garde, and yet suitable for a casual listener.

Attached Hands have been active in Orlando's experimental underground for a while now, having released a handful of boutique releases. Singley was long ago a fixture of post-millennial Orlando in underground projects Pilots Versus Aeroplanes and Missouri Loves Company before settling in Portland.

Annually, he and Attached Hands would come together to jam and plot what would now become Anamorphic Orchestra.

The one-time performance will be held at a unique, grand theater on bustling Virginia Drive called: The Venue. The concert is all ages, priced to be available to all. Held on a Wednesday evening, the concert will be a mid-week sonic vacation, mostly seated with an intermission, bar with I.D, and plenty of lovely property to roam and mingle.

An epic collaboration of top experimental artists with a large ensemble, not in New York or Los Angeles, but the City Beautiful: Anamorphic Orchestra.
