Respected Gurama Elder Peter Stevens (dec) shows how to make a spear thrower carved from mulga wood and gives a demonstration how the spear thrower (woomera) can be used as a musical instrument to accompany Aboriginal folk songs and dances. Filmed in 2003 in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
