My absolute favourite deathcore release of all time, the sole release by Atlanta, US band 'A Thousand Times Repent'.

ATTR were a deathcore band with strong Christian influences, strangely enough a great deal of the lyrical content on this album being centred around Studio Ghibli / Hayao Miyazaki's 'Howl's Moving Castle' from 2004.
Sadly enough, the band was relatively short lived and fell apart somewhere along the line, leaving behind only this 25 minute long EP of unbelievably high quality.

On this EP, they demonstrate brilliant creativity and virtuosity that results in a very dynamic, furious and tremendously heavy sound that has never been touched by any other band from the great 'golden age' of deathcore that occurred around 2005-2009.

Distributed through Tribunal Records, you can grab a digital copy (or a hard copy like me if you're lucky) online from here: https://tribunalrecords.bandcamp.com/album/virtue-has-few-friends

Either way, A Thousand Times Repent will most likely remain at the top, for me, for a very long time.

and those breakdowns though:

"SOON WE'LL SEND YOU HOME. BACK TO THE GRIM! WE'LL SEND YOU HOME!"
"A FAINTING HORSE FOR A FAINTING SUMMER. STEADY YOUR HEART."
"FORWARD! ONWARD! GIVE THEM NOTHING! FORWARD! ONWARD! MAKE THEM REGRET!"
"LEARN YOUR PLACE, WITCH. LEARN. WELCOME TO YOUR END."
"YOU WON'T BE TAKING ME!"
"CUZ' IN THE END WHO NEEDS AN ALLY WHEN YOU ALREADY HAVE A GOD?"
"CONQUER MY FEAR."
