Eli Cohen was one of the most important spies known, that spied for the state of Israel . His heroic story is taught in schools, universities, and security agencies worldwide. Books were written, there are streets and institutions named after him,
Even a movie was made in1987 "the impossible spy" Eli Cohen
But beyond the story of heroism " the spy Eli Cohen," there was a modest man and family man. What interested me most about Eli Cohen was his unique personality and the enormous sacrifice that he made.
Patriotism, dignity an endless giving.
These are the values of Eli Cohen that should be remembered and taught in Israeli culture.
Nadia his wife is still carrying the burden of their tragic story. She is an admirable and rare woman. Even today almost 50 years later, she is still fighting for the return of Eli Cohen's remains.
Eli Cohen left us his life story. And we should learn the history in able to shape the future.
His contribution to the defense of Israel, prevented many casualties during the Six Day War. And will affect future generations.

It is Important that we remember and Commemorate those who sacrificed their life's for our country. Those who redefine the word giving for the public's well being and their contribution.
Eli Cohen was executed on 18 May 1965 in Damascus and his burial place is still unknown.
It is important that we remember Eli Cohen "Our Man in Damascus yet." Especially these days where Syria is in a chaotic and unstable, maybe there is another chance to raise his remains to Israel
