DESCRIPTION:
World Techno Day is celebrated every year on the 9th of December.
Some will say that every day is World Techno Day. Listen to them, they are wiser than most. More telling will be their attitude towards WTD. That will reveal how seriously they take themselves and whether you want to share the dance floor with them.
The aim is that in the future the 9th of December is declared a worldwide holiday every year, a day that wherever you are on Earth or space stations, beats will fill the air. Accordingly,anyone who makes noise complaints will be locked up for disturbing the peace.
This year it falls on a Monday, so we felt that we should start the party on the Saturday before and just keep the trolley rolling.
Starting on the Monday and rolling through to the following weekend was an option that we debated passionately. In the end it was agreed that most people would probably not make it past day 3 or 4, which could have led to all sorts of confusion and 'no-shows' by the weekend. We ultimately felt that anyone capable of that will probably be doing it anyway.
This video was compiled from security camera footage taken in a Doncaster club. These trolleyheads were trail blazers for a generation to follow. Come WTD, I hope some of them will be remembering the good times and lifestyle that Techno helped them attain. Also likely is that many of them probably won't remember a thing.

Every 9th of December at 12 midday GMT, a predetermined track is dropped all across the globe. This was that track in 2009. A track that should always be played on WTD, whatever time you get around to it.
Wherever you end up on the 9th, just play as much Techno as you are able, and give the speakers a nod as you appreciate the way that the gift of Techno has influenced your life.
Most cities around the world will have some event/s on, so get involved if you aren't already and trolley on.
