DESCRIPTION:
Asoka, a 2001 Indian epic historical drama film directed and co-written by Santosh Sivan, is a dramatised version of the early life of emperor Asoka, of the Maurya dynasty. 'O Re Kanchi' is sung by Alka Yagnik and Shaan, composed by Anu Malik with lyrics by Gulzar. Starring Shah Rukh Khan & Kareena Kapoor, Santosh Sivan was generally praised for the cinematography of the film.
