DESCRIPTION:
For their sophomore effort, Feiring, Tôg enlisted the mixing skills of LCD Soundsystem collaborator and DFA mainstay Eric Broucek to make 45 minutes of bangers. Tôg's songwriter and producer Lars Christian dug deep into his record collection, finding inspiration in the good vibes of Jai Paul and Italo Disco, Nile Rodgers and Chicago House. To help with the songwriting process, Tôg brought in Ådne Meisfjord of the 4AD-signed Norwegian band, Serena-Maneesh. The group's leader claims that he "likes making cheesy music cool," because he knows that disco and funk have as much heart as they do groove. Sung in his native tongue, Olsen's lyrics brim with sincerity and optimism as he contemplates eternity and discovering new love after the party.
