Charismatic clarinettist Arun Ghosh has been taking the live scene by storm with his vibrant fusion of Indian themes and club culture grooves, all spiked with heat-of-the-moment improvisation. Updating the rich lineage of the Indo-jazz sound with 21st-century attitude and energy, Ghosh and his exciting live band perform hypnotic music from his latest album, Primal Odyssey.
Arun Ghosh is a British-Asian clarinettist, composer and music educator. In April 2009, Arun Ghosh was invited to perform at the jazzahead! Festival in Bremen, Germany as part of the UK showcase presented by Jazz Services. He was selected for the 4th edition of the Jerwood/PRS Foundation 'Take Five' initiative for emerging jazz musicians produced by Serious in 2008. Conceived in Calcutta, bred in Bolton, matured in Manchester and now living in London, Arun Ghosh's musical vocabulary and vision reflects his rich geographical heritage.
