Arly Karlsen started his musical journey in the late 70's, and has since toured abroad with his music.

One of the highlights of his early career was his participation in the Western Swingers in the 80's and 90's, which became far more widespread than anyone had expected! The group has released five albums, several of which have sold for gold. Who doesn't remember the "Trailer Girl"?

Later it became a solo effort with the Back Beat Band, which eventually became his permanent backing band. They toured together in both Norway and Europe. Back Beat Band had a great influence on the development of Arly's music, and is today a much sought after band among both national and international artists.

In 2007, together with his colleagues G.Thomas and Ove Støylen, he established The European Highwaymen. This became a very popular collaboration and they released the record "Spinning", which was recorded in Nashville with Bobby Bare as producer. In recent years, Steffen Jakobsen has replaced Ove Støylen, who joined as a member of the band a few years ago. In 2011, the group Arly Karlsen & Sons was established with the sons Kim-Arly and Martin. Together they developed their own sound and groove in Arly's music, which was very well received by the audience.

Recently, Hawk Christensen has become a more or less regular member of the group, after joining the reality TV series "Norwegian Rednecks" on Max. Together, they have composed and recorded most of the song and music for this TV series. Season 2 aired in the fall of 2017 and Season 3 will appear in February 2018. They have been asked to join in Season 4, which will be recorded in the summer of 2018. The band is in full swing with a new album. This time in Norwegian and is scheduled to be released ahead of the anniversary show.

Arly has 12 CDs behind him, and has performed with many of the country's legends over the years, including Bobby Bare, Gene Watson, Bellamy Brothers and Joanne Cash (Johnny Cash's little sister).

In 2005, Arly was named European CMA as "Male vocalist of the year".

Conferencing this evening are the main characters in the reality TV series "Norwegian Rednecks" Gunn-Berit and Väinö Ulven Kultima and Monika and Kristian Gulheim.

Several of Arly's artist friends will attend, as well as some exciting surprises!
