With NWOBHM waning somewhat in Britain and glam getting its early roots, the San Francisco Bay was about to transform into the thrash zone. Kill Em All shattered barriers, combining the songwriting of NWOBHM with the speed and intensity of punk music to create a new beast. While thrash metal was already in its infancy, this can be seen as its visible genesis point, the baby that would turn into a beast, a beast that would be called MetallicA.
