DESCRIPTION:
"Meatball," from Dean Thornton & the Yòü-Tü's record Residual Death. While the song itself is not about meat (the title is an inside punchlineless joke of the band's), a portion of the footage (which nevertheless seemed appropriate to the song) features a group of Italian students disassembling a shoulder of pork, which they would later turn into salami. Deconstruction before reconstruction. Destroying to rebuild. Also making an appearance is documentary footage of the burnt-out former waterfront in Portland, Maine, a charred wreck that's gone completely ignored by the state, the city, and the EPA. Many vagrants make their home there, but on the day of filming, I didn't see a single one.
