Petcrafts is the musical collaboration of new songs by Aoife Moriarty @dollsandjigsaws and the vocal stylings of Shane Barriscale.

Petcrafts met on their last day in the University of Limerick in September 2012, when Barriscale heard Moriarty perform a section of her electronic opera for her final Masters Showcase. Despite sharing classes throughout their respective Masters programmes in Music Technology and Interactive Media, the two only became aware of each others diverse and complimentary styles and backgrounds right at the end.

Moriarty released her critically acclaimed debut album Dolls & Jigsaws in 2009- "A highly accomplished, quirky pop gem" (HOTPRESS 2009). Barriscale is a classically trained tenor, widely experienced in choral circles, and is currently interning with the National Chamber Choir of Ireland.

Petcrafts have opted for a stripped-back performing style, with the intention of building upon a foundation of experimental songwriting and strong musicianship.

This video was shot on location in a farmhouse in West Limerick for the Other Voices competition. It was filmed by Peter McGuire and Petcrafts, and was edited by Shane Barriscale. The painting is a McGuire original.
