Artist Bio:
Las Vegas native Anu~Sun is a BMI artist/ songwriter whose music offers an eclectic blend of Hip-Hop, Soul and Jazz. Being a drummer & godson of Jazz legend Lionel Hampton, one can easily understand why Anu's love for music runs so deep.
In 2006 Anu's music video "Soul Brotha" was included in BETJ's (now Centric) "Top 50 videos of 2006." The artist was also featured on the network's programs "The J List" & "Chonicles of the Underground."
To date Anu has opened for such reputable artist as Dwele, Bilal Oliver, Talib Kweli, Pharaoh Monch, Kid Cudi, Amel Laurrieux & Raheem DeVaughn.
In his sophomore release "The Adventures of Mr. Las Vegas" Anu portrays himself as a futuristic Vegas showman ready to strut his stuff. The project is soulful hip-hop infused with a pop twist that renders itself to Maxwell (if he did more hip-hop tunes). The album features collaborations with Robert Glasper, Omar Lyefook, Chris "Daddy" Dave & DoItAll Dupri (of Lordz of the Underground).
In short "Anu~Sun's music is chic, soulful hip-hop brewed for the music connoisseur." A boutique style offering that could easily be mistaken for the Brand New Heavies or Groove Theory."
