The start of a great songwriting partnership with John Simons, this was our attempt to create a patriotic song to unite all of Britain through positivity focusing on all our accomplishments over time. And I think we created a great anthem!

The song was a long time in the making, about a year, where we meticulously tried to do the Brits justice! This was the first charity single I made and it helped to raise money for soldiers who were returning from active duty. I don't condone any war, it's horrific. But this is a song for the people. Too many lives have been lost through history and around the world, and it's still happening. I want to be a positive force to tackle that.
