"The Commune" by Artichoke - Video
PUBLISHED:  Feb 08, 2013
DESCRIPTION:
"The Commune" is the first song on Artichoke's "Bees" album, and it describes the varied tasks of worker bees in their month of life. Mike Hollingsworth found some excellent footage from a 1951 documentary called "Bee City." David Birdsell assembled it into a video that illustrates perfectly the incessant activity of honeybees -- and sometimes humans. Musicians on the recording: Timothy Sellers: guitar and vox; Antonia Romeo: vox; Anna Hollingsworth: accordion; David Hurlin: drums, Daniel Leyson: guitar; Christian Gonzalez: bass.
