When I first started playing out, I had the chance to open for fellow Canadian Ann Vriend at Phog Lounge in Windsor, Ontario. I was such a nervous girl back in those days when it came to performing my music live. And here was Ann with such an absorbing stage presence, so very entertaining and such beautiful music. I scooped up her album immediately and every time I would hear track four, Waterfront, I could picture her playing it just as if we were all there again, huddled in Phog's intimate space. I love to play it live - the lyrics are incredibly sweet.
