Anna-Maria La Spina sings Love is More than 3 Words . Produced and Presented by Alessandro Sorbello http://www.alessandrosorbello.com as part of Italian Week 2008 http://www:italianweek.com.au Anna-Maria La Spina is a singer/songwriter who has worked with some hugely credible and successful writers and artists. After 2 world tours spanning 3yrs with "Savage Garden" where she shared lead vocal in live performances of the number one hit, "Truly, Madly Deeply", La Spina had a record deal with Sony Australia which saw the recording of her first album "MINE", currently available at www.anna.com.au A New Realm Media Project http://www.newrealm.com.au

Darren Hayes has announced a second Sydney Opera House date due to overwhelming interest. In fact, the local buzz is so strong that the singer is already starting to panic about accommodating all of his family and friends at what was meant to be a special one off event.

"Because we're recording these shows for a DVD release, I wanted to play somewhere truly iconic -- hence the Sydney Opera House. It's a gorgeous but rather intimate venue. For the first time in my life I've been praying for poor ticket sales so I can come through on my promise of free tickets to all my family and friends!'. Hayes jokes. Fortunately no such wish has been granted.
With the first show sold out, and tickets for the second selling quickly, Hayes might have to learn the art of diplomacy.

Sydney siders are gradually becoming aware of just how special these shows are going to be. In London, the tour sold out to 30 Thousand Britons and received rave reviews. Commenting on Darren's live collaboration with renowned show designer Willie Williams (U2, We Will Rock You), the English press seem to have caught on to this special partnering. 'The man's a genius,' wrote the NME whilst a review of the Williams Designed tour recently said "..right now it's hard to think of anyone subverting the mainstream quite so effectively and effortlessly as Darren Hayes".

What is interesting about this tour is the fact that it exists without the aid of a promotional vehicle, hit single or product to flog. Hayes, simply went on tour the stretch his creative wings before committing to his third solo album. With Willie's help, he has hit upon a format that seems tailor made to unique style. Drawing on theatre, live television reality and stand up -- it is a stage marriage that has to be seen to be believed. As John Aizlewood (London's Evening Standard) wrote about Willie's first re-invention of Hayes..

"There was more to dazzle the senses and clearly Hayes understood the notion of spectacle. Televisions cluttered the stage, while, with a craftsman's touch he debunked the mystique of a rock gig: the Green Room where the band intermittently rested was actually on stage, the roadies' work with the ever changing backdrops wasn't hidden and before the encore, Hayes's clothes change was silhouetted for all to see. Simple, but brilliant."

For the limited Sydney Opera House engagement Darren has invited long time friend and ex Savage Garden backing vocalist Anna-Maria La Spina to warm the audience up before his arrival. Anna, a fellow Brisbanite and who, like Hayes, now resides in London -- comes from a rich heritage of singers. Brother Rosario La Spina is now a world renowned Tenor Opera Singer who trained at the famous La Scala, Milan and performs regularly at the Sydney Opera House.

"Anna is, without a doubt, my favorite live singer in the world." Hayes commented. "To share this famous stage, with my talented friend who knew me when my career first began ten years ago, is a dream come true!". http://annamarialaspina.blogspot.com
