Nineteen years old she was granted the status of Honorific Artist of Ukraine by the Ukrainian Government and became the youngest female singer ever got it. She is the winner of the huge amount of national and international festivals, contests and media ratings awards including Grand Prix of “The Morning Star” TV contest (Moscow 1996) and worldwide “Big Apple Music — 96” young performers contest (New York). Her four records — “There where you are”, “Ani Lorak”, “Smile” and “Tell me…” went Gold according to the sales figures. Many times “A Singer of the Year” in Ukraine, ten albums, successful singles, biographical movie, 23 hit videos, two grandiose solo performances on the main stage of Ukraine, the most beautiful and sexual woman of Ukraine in accordance with the readers choice of the most popular magazines.
Her artistic explorations and interests are much wider than just singing. She is a gifted composer, singer-songwriter, businesswoman and actress. Ani played a lot of leading roles in musicals — Zemphira in “Gypsy”, lieutenant doc in “Take the overcoat”, Oksana in “The nights in the khutor near Dikanka”, Fanshetta in “Crazy day or Figaro's wedding” just to name a few. She was also involved in dubbing of Norwegian cartoon “Carlson that lives on the roof” as Baby character and as Cat and Honeybee characters in Estonian “Lotta in the land of inventors”. Ani Lorak supported the publishing of three books for kids — “How to become a star”, “How to become a culinary star in seven days” and “How to become a Princess”. As a producer and owner of the brand ANI LORAK she runs the glamorous restaurant “Angel-lounge” in the heart of Kyiv.
Charity is her great passion and takes a lot of her time. Being a UN Goodwill Ambassador on HIV/ AIDS issues in Ukraine Ani Lorak has got official UN and UNICEF gratitude for supporting HIV positive Ukrainian citizens. In 2005 she was decorated with an order of “Saint Stanislav” IV degree and an Officer Cross for “strengthening international prestige of Ukraine, high professionalism, artistic achievements, charity and loyalty to the knight's ideals”.
