'4 Bills And A Ben' Formed in late 1991, initially to raise money for charity via a line-up of quality, well-known musicians, including members of Status Quo. The rave reception the band received, lead to them becoming a more varied and long-term proposition.
The Mods first major gig was The Stevie Marriott Memorial Concert at The Astoria in London on 20th April 2001.
JOHNNY WARMAN - VOCALS - Johnny has released three albums under his own name. He is a songwriter, and has worked with Ringo Starr, Peter Gabriel, Asia, House of Lords, Starship, Ezio, Cheap Trick, Elaine Paige, Sir Tim Rice, John Bettis and many others. He has also fronted 4 Bills and a Ben, Humble Pie, The Mods, Johnny Warman and the Screaming Jets. At the age of 13 he sang with Maria Callas and Tito Gobbi at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden and remembers it being a pivotal moment in regards to what he wanted to do later on in his life.
STEVE BARNACLE - BASS - Steve has worked with Tina Turner, Rick Wakeman, Pete Townsend, Rod Stewart, Fish and also for Queen in New York where he depped for John Deacon as they were inaugurated into the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame.
MICKEY SIMMONDS - KEYBOARDS - Mickey has played with Mike Oldfield, Joan Armatrading, Paul Young's Band, Fish, Camel, The Rutles and The Bonzo's .
JOHNNY MARTER - Drums Johnny was the drummer for Voyager, Mr. Big, Marillion, The SAS Band and Fish .In his first band he was discovered by Chas Chandler and met Jimi Hendrix.
ANDY HAMILTON - Soprano, alto, tenor, baritone & bass saxophones .Andy has toured USA with Edwin Starr, recorded 'Happy Radio' album, toured UK & Europe with Ben E. King & The Thymes ,recorded 'V Deep' album with the Boomtown Rats and toured UK Europe & USA.Played with The Boomtown Rats at Live Aid..Toured UK & Europe with Dexy's Midnight Runners Recorded 'Rio' album with Duran Duran.Recorded 'Seven and the Ragged Tiger' album with Duran Duran in Australia & Montserrat.Film appearance with Paul McCartney in 'Give My Regards To Broad Street'.Recorded with Wham. Recording sessions with George Michael including 'Cowboys and Angels' from his album 'Listen Without Prejudice' 'Faith' world tour with George Michael . 'Cover to Cover' tour with George Michael in Brazil Japan & UK. Recorded album with Judie Tzuke and a UK tour .Recording sessions with Nina Hagen & Tina Turner. .UK concerts with Marc Almond culminating in live video.'12 Years of Tears' European tour with BMG artist Eros Ramazzotti. MTV unplugged with George Michael.Recording sessions with Kim Wilde, Gary BarlowThe Stereophonics. Composed extensively for film and TV. Commercials . Composed music for 'The Alchemists' (Channel 5) ,Carboot Challenge (LWT),and for motion picture 'Secret Society' (released Feb 2000). Festivals and concerts with ABC.Appointed Musical Director for ABC.American tour with ABC.Recording sessions for 'Kid A' album with Radiohead. Video appearance with Radiohead for 'National Anthem'.Appearance on major US TV shows including 'Saturday Night Live' with
