DESCRIPTION:
I uploaded this track to contribute to the YouTube series of covers of the great Macedonian (*) dance tune: 'Sulejmanovo Oro'. This version was recorded by Andy Irvine & Davy Spillane on the album 'East Wind', where it was called 'Dance of Suleiman'.

For those of us learning this lovely tune: the basic structure is made of 3 parts A/B/C, each played twice in succession, followed by a repeat of A (x2) played a fourth higher; then--in this version--the basic structure is followed by some jazz improvisations, before a final A (x2) played in the original key:
0:00 -- A (x2)
0:54 -- B (x2)
1:20 -- C (x2)
1:46 -- A (x2) played a fourth higher
2:39 -- (Jazz improvisations)
4:41 -- A (x2)
This piece is in the 'kopanitsa' rhythm of 11/8 time (2-2-3-2-2), with the accent on the first note in the triplet.
