DESCRIPTION:
A YouTube friend shared this beautiful song with me and I had to make a video for it. Rather than describe the song in my own words let me just let Anadara tell the story behind the song herself:

Orphan's Lullaby (Written by Anadara Arnold and Scott Faircloff)
Scott and I pictured an orphaned child lying in bed and looking out their window as we wrote this song. We wanted to convey a sense of hope amidst helplessness. As the child's imagination soars across the rooftops and up to the moon, she prays to God to lift her out of her loneliness. We tried to crawl inside a child's skin and write to God in youthful images and words. Perhaps it is a child's innocence and helplessness that leaves us so burdened for the fatherless and motherless. Perhaps it is living in our own skin that helps us identify! At times, I find that all of us know shades of the orphan's experience, even when we are nestled within the best churches and families. Everyone can identify with an orphan's loneliness and fears of the future. The song, Orphan's Lullaby, is a cry of the heart during times of such desperation. It is written for the seasons when we must reach for the hope and confidence of our adoption. As believers we dream of a way to cross a bridge to a new life in Christ and we cling to a Savior that collects our tears in a bottle (Psalm 56:8). So it is fitting that the promise for the orphan is my hope as well: Romans 8:15 (NIV) says, "...we did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry "Abba, Father".
