Class D amps are much lighter than tube-hybrid and all tube amps. Class-D amps are lighter and run cooler than class-A/B and tube amplifiers, meaning higher power output in heads small and light enough to fit in a backpack.

Here at Bass Club we've got two fantastic-sounding and eminently portable class-D heads: the Aguilar Tone Hammer 500 and a SWR Headlite. Both amps deliver plenty of power for loud gigs -- 500 and 400 watts, respectively -- but each has its own distinct tone a unique features. Hear them compared in this video demo!
