AMORA The Godmother of Tru Skool a.k.a. The Female Frank Sinatra a.k.a. The Spiritual Girl a.k.a. Krak Dandy has sharpened her vision and strategized the Tru Skool Takeover in entertainment. This soulful siren is known to be a pioneer in the industry for her RAP/singing fusion style, intertwining many genres fluidlously into one catchy commercial sound. AMORA's ON AND ON (KING OF THE MONSTERS) 20 DJ Remix Takeover is due Summer 2010, featuring some of the hottest DJ's on Earth-leading up to her major debut album, THE GODMOTHER, coming late 2010. This "Diamond in the Rough" demonstrates the REAL strength of a femcee fatale who is driven by a mission to balance the battle of the sexes.
AMORA has spent many years underground honing her vision and craft as a Pop/HipHop/Rock/Soul Recording Artist. Carefully strategizing her level of exposure as a creative entertainer and known for her energetic and spontaneous personality, she has earned respect in the game. Born and raised in Middletown, CT and living over a decade in NYC, she has performed in over 400 shows in NYC, LA, Chicago, Philly, D.C. and throughout the Northeast. She has been featured on OPRAH, SHOWTIME AT THE APOLLO, and appeared in various regional/local television programs. In April 2006 her debut album, "PLATINUM HEART" was released independently by Heiros Gamos Entertainment, a company she founded in 2001. Her music can be found on MySpace and iTunes, as well as over 80 internet music sites, and on satellite/major/internet/college radio. DJ's are spinning her songs in clubs all over the world. Her second album, "THE SPIRITUAL GIRL" was released in November 2008, during RISE OF THE INDEPENDENTS 3 in Middletown, CT. The video for the 1st single, "SO UNEXPECTED", was filmed in 2008 during RISE OF THE INDEPENDENTS 2 CD Listening Party, as well her debut video launched in 2008, in conjunction with Image Therapi. The Spiritual Girl is currently writing and recording with several producers for her third album. Her musician roster is tailored to fit any venue (also stepping up with other bands as a special guest); appearing at bars, lounges, cafes, nightclubs, showcases and festivals. Recently AMORA has promoted events for DJ Tony Touch, DJ Premier, Slaughterhouse, Just Blaze, B-Real of Cypress Hill, Funk Flex, Ice-T, DJ Kool Herc, and more celeb events, as well as independent artists and companies. AMORA was the host of Comcast's "Cromwell's New Direction" featuring various political figures and interesting citizens. In conjunction with CT RIVER MUSICFEST she launched RISE OF THE INDEPENDENTS 4 a festival from Heiros Gamos in October 2009, featuring fresh new Indie acts and various artists from the Northeast. She produced RISE OF THE INDEPENDENTS 5 - DJ MIXUP AND ARTIST SHOWCASE and her team is now gearing up for RISE OF THE INDEPENDENTS 6 - FOR THE LOVE OF HIP-HOP. She is featured in several Indie films/videos promoted all over the web, and was featured in SESAC's Spring 2008 Magazine in their coveted "NEW AND NOW" Artists to watch section. BROADWAY BULLET features her in, "CUPID.A Pop Musical Fairytale", which will showcase her acting talents. She had an interview and impromptu performance appearing on Manhattan Neighborhood Network's "STREET FUNK" with Host DJ Mello Mike and also appearances on "The Jump Off", "Radio Free Cromwell", and "Up and Coming" in CT via Comcast-with recent feature articles in Fairfield Weekly, New Haven Advocate, Hartford Advocate, and The Middletown Press. As well, she participated in "Miss Rap Supreme" for Viacom and their VH1 network. Serving as President and CEO of HEIROS GAMOS, she launched the worldwide showcase RISE OF THE INDEPENDENTS from CT in 2007, featuring a talented roster of HEIROS GAMOS' ALLIED ARTISTS. This charismatic and spontaneous artist is chronicled in the upcoming documentary "MUSIC.THE MOVIE" from HELLO ART SOCIETY Director Melissa Lefton (now being prospected for a tv pilot). She's been actively involved in the breakthrough of NEXT BIG HIT's New Indie Music website and showcases (an iTunes Top 100 Podcast), and featured in REP YO HOOD VOL. 2. She is a Voting Member of THE NATIONAL ACADEMY OF RECORDING ARTS AND SCIENCES and participates often with their humanitarian and social causes. SESAC invited her in as a Songwriter and Publisher (AngelicA.L. Worx, Inc.), and has fostered her potential for over a decade. She has donated her efforts to ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER'S INNER CITY GAMES, FILM INDUSTRY MIXER, MUSICCARES,The Cured Foundation, Krawl 4 Kleen Family Fund as well as assisting with many other humanitarian causes. Her priority philanthropic effort is The Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation. AMORA has proven to be a charitable champion of the people.
