Dropbeat Heartbeat confesses that they don't sound pop punk enough. They only think of themselves as a pop punk band because their favourite bands are lumped into that pop punk genre that we either grew up loving or hating or secretly loving but hating to look cool.

Whatever your poison, this gang of five are unabashed about their love for fusing the romance of pop songs with the three-four chord progression of punk songs. In fact, their formula has served them well over the years - amassing a sizable following and opening for international pop punk band, All Time Low in 2013.

It is without any wonder that Dropbeat Heartbeat are playing Baybeats 2013. After three less than satisfactory attempts at the Baybeats Auditions, Dropbeat Heartbeat have proven that if you believe in your sound and having fun in the process, the rewards will come.

Amidst all the hard-hitting acts at Baybeats 2013, Dropbeat Heartbeat are definitely looking to rouse the merrymaking at the Powerhouse stage on 28 June, 7.30pm.
