DESCRIPTION:
Amethyst Phillips presents a solo rendition of "Red Rocking Chair" while visiting with the East Tennessee State University (ETSU) Bluegrass Pride Band at the final "Bluegrass On Broad" concert of the 2010 summer season, 27 August 2010. ETSU Bluegrass, Old-Time, and County Music Program (Department of Appalachian Studies) has many musicians such as Amethyst concentrating in the "old-time" traditional music of the region. Amethyst is usually performing as part of the ETSU Old-Time Pride Band.

The ETSU Bluegrass Pride Band put on a really great, well executed concert and they did themselves proud. Some folks were returning and some were new- it was the first public performance of everyone here together (with two days for practice according to Dan Boner).
