DESCRIPTION:
Just got this new guitar, and I thought I would do a comparison video with my four main acoustics.
First, I recognize how fortunate I am to own these guitars, and that they are far beyond my current ability level. They do inspire me to keep practicing and playing, in the hope of approaching a level of performance worthy of these fine instruments.
Tech info - I recorded this on my macbook, with a Zoom H2n as the audio recorder. No processing. Strings on the two Martins are D'Addario EXP16 (new ones, NY steel), on the Larrivee Elixir nanoweb PB medium-lights, and on the RainSong Elixir nanoweb PB lights. Recorded in my dining room, certainly not studio quality, but I actually had a quiet house for an hour or so today!
Mostly, I did this for my benefit, and to share on the UMGF and AGF with my NGD thread. I have always wanted to have a video that shows a reasonable comparison between my acoustics, and now I have one! All done in one take, mistakes and all are here for the world to see.
The comparison shows a little strumming, some acoustic blues, some fingerstyle, and finishes with What a Wonderful World, one of my favorite songs.
