DESCRIPTION:
There is good news and bad news. Bad: Saint FM doesn't have a listen again or replay feature and the only way I could record this was to use an old audio cassette tape that is literally decades old. Good: I did record it all. Good: I did get all of his conversation about Alfie Boe with my favorite lines being "he does get a little nervous" and "Alfie does like his rock stuff." Bad: ... and I'm crushed at this. The middle section (15min48sec worth) is warbling and sometimes inaudible. The super bad part is that it includes the wonderfully sweet Sam Cook song that Al shared that was sung by his daughter when she was about 5 years old. It was so wonderful. I tried everything, but it just comes out sad. I'm so sorry but like I said, my blank tapes were bought decades ago and I guess this one has some wear on it even though it's 'new'. Good: Still have Alfie and Al's lovely song that he sang at the end of the interview. Remember, all taken from a cheap cassette recorder using an audio tape and then played onto a cheapie camera and then uploaded here! Sigh - so bummed about the song but happy the Alfie conversation and Al's song are intact.
