la band nasce nel 2004 da una idea di Roberto Usai oggi detto Almo, chitarrista talentuoso e cantante in erba, che assieme a quattro amici costitui' la prima versione della banda, che allora si proponeva in tutta la Sardegna con un repertorio di cover dal sapore vagamente mediderraneo meticcio con contaminazioni rock e blues.
co, passare del tempo e con l'ingresso nella band di musicisti ancora oggi presenti quali Sandro Sacchitella alla batteria, Mauro Sanna al basso, Mario Dinaro al piano e Pamela Strazzera alle percussioni e voce incantevole, gli alma approdano nel 2005 alla finalissima del Tim Tour Rock TV contest dal quale poi partono per un viaggio artistico che li portera' in giro per l'Italia a vincere concorsi e a spargere il piu' possibile il proprio verbo.
numerose le collaborazioni a livello nazionale della sardabanda come viene ben presto soprannominata grazie anche al titolo del brano omonimo che vince il premio del pubblico nel contest On line di rossoalice

il 2007 è ricco di impegni live che portano la Sardabanda in giro per tutta l'Italia, nonchè la grande soddisfazione di essere ospiti in uno speciale ALMAMEDITERRANEA SU RADIO RAI 1 nel programma DEMO RAI che trasmette spesso brani dei sardi almi.
Tra i concerti piu' importanti quello con la BANDABARDO' a Cagliari, il concerto ROCK FAMILY per Emergency nel Dicembre 2007 a Roma presso LA PALMA CLUB fortemente voluti dall'organizzatore Giampiero Turco, anch'egli ora amico della banda.
il 2007 e' anche l'anno dell'uscita del primo lavoro autoprodotto dal titolo ALMAMEDITERRANEA TUTTATTACCATO che a sorpresa vende piu' di 2000 copie senza distribuzione ne etichetta.

27 Febbraio 2008 Sanremo partecipano all'IMD ovvero independent music day organizzato da Francesco Baccini e Povia.
nell'estate dello stesso anno suoneranno con lo stesso Baccini e ancora una volta con la Bandabardo' con i quali si e' instaurato un bellissimo rapporto .
Il brano IL THE' STASERA distribuito sul portale ITUNES e fa parte della compilation CANZONI edita da Magma Music.
