The late,great Jimmy C. Newman,'The Alligator Man',was an American singer and pioneer of Cajun country music.He chose the 'C' in his name to represent Cajun.A long time star of the Grand Ole Opry, Jimmy founded his 'Cajun Country Band' in 1976 and toured the world. He had many hits andhas been induced into the International Country Hall Of Fame.He died from cancer in June 2014.
