DESCRIPTION:
A short film I made to promote a show I am developing based on my zaida (yiddish for grandfather) Hyman Herman's musical and family history.

Currently titled "The Ancestry Project", the music is based on numerous recorded interviews with my grandfather that form the basis of the themes for the compositions and improvisations.

In this introduction segment, I attempt to beat loop an excerpt of Tito Puente's "Si Te Contara" while he talks about the experience of traveling to NYC and his encounter with the legendary Mr. Puente.
