"touching one wall of me" is a work-in-progress that will form part of a new dance performance by Kasia Witek premiering at the Polish Social and Cultural Association in September 2017. The title chosen for this excerpt comes from Ted Hughes’s poem Wodwo, in which a mythical forest spirit explores its own consciousness and environment, in Hughes’s own words, "just discovering that it is alive in the world”. This state of curiousness is at the heart of Witek’s investigation of the intelligence of the body, awakening in the performers a sense of belonging, togetherness and joy.
